The Accelerated Master's Program enhances existing professional experiences and education to meet new career goals, adding professional components that lead to a nursing master's degree.
AMP is for students who have received a bachelor's degree in a field other than nursing. This is an accelerated full-time program will lead to a Master's of Science in Nursing degree specializing in Nursing and Health Systems Leadership.
AMP is designed for career changers who wish to become nurses with specialization in nursing and health systems administration. Career changers can apply to the program if they have already completed at least a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited university with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and have completed all required prerequisites.
After students complete all prerequisites, a 15-month undergraduate clinical phase will prepare the student to take the nursing licensure exam (NCLEX). The clinical phase begins each May. Students then complete 12 months of graduate coursework resulting in the completion of the master's degree in nursing with a speciality area of nursing and health systems leadership. Graduate courses will be offered primarily online.
