Objectives
  • Practice in an advanced nursing role in a variety of settings.
  • Analyze trends in health care and health care administration practices that improve the health of society.
  • Synthesize leadership theories and principles in human resource promote nursing care in a variety of environments.
  • Identify and analyze significant issues including the value of comportment between clinical nursing practice and health care administration and provide leadership in the pragmatic resolution of conflicts.
  • Synthesize principles of negotiation, ethical decision making, resource management, continuous quality improvement, problem solving, effective communication, and team building that create and maintain partnerships and collaboration for the purpose of cost-effective, high-quality health care.
  • Demonstrate creativity, ability to share vision for spiritually sensitive and culturally aware strategies, and take calculated risks for enhancement of high-quality health care.
  • Participate in research and incorporate finding confidently into the role of the nurse manager.
